Hamburg. At the Affordable Art Fair, Hamburg-based VisuleX Gallery for Photography has been showing works by Thomas Kellner since Wednesday. On display are his works of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
Thomas Kellner photographed the Elbphilharmonie 2021 on behalf of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg itself for its 5th anniversary. All of Kellner's work, both exterior and interior, appeared in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg 2021/22 season magazine, which commissions a fine art photographer for each issue to lend the magazine its own photographic artistic ductus.
Gallery owner Vivian Laux-Eggert of VisuleX Gallery for Photography was so enthusiastic about the works that she presented the artworks to the Hamburg public in a solo exhibition by Thomas Kellner in the spring of 2022 entitled "Dance of Resonance" and has also already successfully presented and sold them at Art Karlsruhe.
The Affordable ArtFair was founded by Will Ramsay in 1999 as an alternative to the usual art fair business. The fair offers artworks up to 7500 Euro and thus makes art affordable for a more general public and younger audience. After the first fair in 1999 in Battersea, London, the fair expanded worldwide. Today it is held in London, Bristol, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Hamburg, Stockholm, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. Thomas Kellner was also represented at the first New York fair in 2002 with his New York gallery at that time.
Thomas Kellner was born in Bonn in 1966, then lived in Cologne and in the Düren district before moving to Siegen for his studies in 1989. In 1997 he made his first cubist deconstructive contact sheets with the Eiffel Tower as a motif. In the same year his photographs were shown for the first time at an art fair. Since then, his works have caused amazement and eye-catchers at more than 100 participations in art fair presentations. At the Hamburg Affordable Art Fair you can see his works from the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg until Sunday 13.11.2022.
