Catetinho, Brasilia
Catetinho was the first official residence of President Juscelino Kubitschek in Brasilia. The name is a link with the then president's official residence, the Palace of Catete. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, was built in only 10 days in November 1956, is a simple building made of wood, and known as Palace of boards. It was planned without comfort or honors officers, that the President did not distance himself from the workers, who lived in shacks and tents. Still standing today, open to visitors several rooms, like the former presidential suite, the living orders, the fourth member of the government, the guest room and dining room downstairs.
