Catedral Rainha Da Paz

The Military Cathedral of the Queen of Peace belongs to the ordinary military in Brazil. It is located at the beginning of the Monumental Axis in Brasilia, near the Urban Military Sector (SMU). Its Archbishop is Dom Jose Osvino Both. With design by Oscar Niemeyer, its triangular architecture refers to a tent. After its cornerstone abeçoada was placed by Pope John Paul II in 1991, during his visit to Brazil, the cathedral was inaugurated on September 12, 1994.
