Honestino Guimarães National Museum, Brasilia (interior)
On December 15, 2006, when the architect celebrated 99 years, the first building of the cultural complex, the National Museum Honestino Guimaraes - "the most important part of the project," according to Niemeyer was inaugurated. It is a large dome with almost 90 meters in diameter (just to establish a parameter, the Oca, in Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo, has diameter of 75 metres), highth of 28 meters, or ten meters higher than the similar in São Paulo.
