Born in 1979 in Bagerhat District of Bangladesh, Udayan Sankar Pal grew up in Canning (WB, India), the gateway of the Sunderbans. He has been dabbling with photography since he was 13 years old. Working with his first camera, a Canon AE-1 Program, he has explored the myriad images that Indian villages have to offer. Hailing from a village himself, his eyes are drawn towards those elements that he can identify with, that are hidden from a city dweller. He has compiled a few of those elements that he wants to share with you.

As a serious hobbyist, he has shown his wealth to many parts of the world. In return, appreciation flooded from various parts of the globe.

Brochures of many photography exhibitions lying on the road post the exhibition triggered off an interesting fascination in him. He collects them for posterity & has with him about 2000+ brochures that he has collected from all parts of the world to create an international Archive of Photography Exhibition (
