Thomas Kellner in: Reflections of life: A history of photography

August 1st through October 31st in Castle of Hartenfels, Torgau/ Elbe the Camera- and Photo- Museum Leipzig invites the visitors to a time journey in 12 chapters trough the history of photography from its beginnings to the present.

In the first part of the exhibition, the visitors get the chance to walk trough 170 years of photography by chronologically arranged works of photographers like William Gloede, Georgio Summer, Horst Schaefer, Kurt Richter, Lucien Clergue, Robert Lebeck, Will McBride, Helmut Newton and Erasmus Schroeter. It is a journey from Louis Jacques Mandé Daguerre, the inventor of the daguerreotype to contemporary photographers, like Thomas Kellner from Siegen.

Following its concept, the Camera- and Photomuseum Leipzig also shows the cameras of the various epochs parallel to the artist works. The second part of the exhibition is dedicated to the photographer Rudolf Friedrich Nagel from Torgau and is located in the "Zeughaus".
