The Siegerland Artists' Workgroup seeks new members in 2008, too

Dear ladies and gentlemen,
The Siegerland Artists' Workgroup invites interested colleagues to apply for membership by June 6. The ASK is a regional association of artists whose life and/or work indicates a connection to the Siegerland and Wittgenstein region. A community and an association thrives on regular new admissions. In 2008 we want to gain a small number of new members.

The ASK has existed for over 80 years and is not oriented programmatically. Its members have always been people with different artistic temperaments, working methods and goals who have come together to engage in a dialog and to hold joint exhibitions. They want to support each other and network in a way that benefits the further development of both the group and the individuals. This is added to by the exchange of experiences within various exhibitions with similar artist groups at home and abroad. Works by the community can be seen regularly at the municipal gallery Haus Seel, as well as exhibitions by individual members at other venues in the region.

New members are welcome to join the ASK. Artists with a sphere of activity in the Siegen region, with a connection to the Siegerland and Wittgenstein or with an impact on said region can apply for membership. The prerequisite is proof of dedicated artistic work, regardless of the specific creative medium of the visual arts. In addition to painters, graphic artists, draughtsmen and sculptors, the members already include representatives of trans-classical processes and media. The only decisive factor is the quality of the work, which must also be demonstrated by an ambitious exhibition program, among other things. Interest in active participation in the group and in joint exhibitions is presumed.
The ASK discusses submitted applications once a year at its summer meeting. The decision is final.
