Guggenheim Bilbao, Bilbao, Spain
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a modern and contemporary art museum designed by Canadian-American architect Pritzker Price winning Frank Gehry, built by Ferrovial and located in Bilbao. It was opened to the public in 1997 after four years of construction. The structure of the museum consists of radically sculpted and organic contours and steel frame and titanium sheathing were used. The Guggenheim Bilbao is one of several museums belonging to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. The museum features both permanent and visiting exhibits featuring works of both Spanish and international artists.
