Pervouralsk, New Pipe Plant 2
In 1732, the Vasilievo-Shaitansky Plant was built by the younger generation of the Demidov Dynasty (famous industrialists in the Urals). For two centuries, the production of cast iron and steel was good. Ownership of the plant changed a few times and the production process was modernized. After the Revolution in 1920, this plant was converted into the first industrial pipe production in the Urals. The settlement for the workers near the plant was renamed Pervouralsk. From 1931-1934, a new pipe plant was built with the assistance of German and Americans specialists. During World War II, hundreds of pipe types, for exapmple barrels for mortars and missiles, were produced there. Today, it is possible to implement almost any type of steel pipe production technology in the plant. The launch of a new electric furnace melting steel complex in 2010 made the process environmentally safe.
