Bucharest, Ceausescu Palace
The Palace of the Parliament or Ceausescu Palace is the home of the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest, Romania. It is the largest civilian administrative building, the heaviest building and the most expensive administrative building in the world. It was designed by Anca Petrescu and the structure combines elements and motifs from multiple sources, in an eclectic neoclassical architectural style. The Construction started 1983 and was finished in 1989. It measures 270metres by 240metres, 86metres high, and 92metres under ground. It has 1,100 rooms and is 12 stories tall. In 2008, the Palace hosted the 20th NATO summit.
