Prince's Palace of Monaco
The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Prince of Monaco and was founded in 1191 as a Genoese fortress. Since the end of the 13th century, it has been the stronghold and home of the Grimaldi family. The palace is a blend of architectural styles but mainly it is renaissance, its ancient origins are indicated by a lack of symmetry. Most of the interior and the exterior of the palace are of the 18th century but the most arose from 12th century to 20th century. Today the courtyard and the state rooms are open for public.
