Mexico, Torres Satelitte

Mexico, Torres de Satélite

The Torres de Satélite are located in Ciudad Satélite, in the northern part of Naucalpan. They were planned in 1957 by the Mexican architect Luis Barragan, the painter Jesús Reyes Ferreira and sculpturer Mathias Goeritz. There are five towers with a height between 52 and 30 metres. They are painted in the primary substrative colours, red, blue, yellow and white. Was finally decided the towers would be painted in red, blue, yellow and white, the so (incorrectly) called primary subtractive colours. They have been promoted by the local government to be included into the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list.
