Genoa, Palazzo Nicolosio Lomellino

The Palazzo was built in 1563 under the will of Nicolosio Lomellino and is located at the Via Garibaldi. It is famous for its elliptic hall and the particular façade with stuccoed decorations. During the 15th century the palace was under some changes, among them the substitution of the portal, the construction of the nymphaeum and the widening of the roof-garden. The interiors of the palace are very rich, decorated with fresco. After the Lomellini family the palace became a property of the important Centurione, Pallavicini families and, of the baron Andrea Podestà.
