Alexanderplatz, Berlin

The Alexander Platz was originally called the Ochsenmarkt and is a busy square in central Berlin. Most of the buildings around Alexanderplatz were destroyed during the Second World War. The Fernsehturm, with a total length of 365 metres, the Weltzeituhr by Erich John and the Fountain of International Friendship are located at the Alexanderplatz. It is planned to redevelop the area, which includes several modern high-rise buildings.
