Renzo Piano (1937)
Renzo Piano was born September 14th 1937 in Genoa and is a world renowned Italian architect. He is recipient of the AIA Gold Medal and the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
He was educated at the Politecnico di Milano. He worked with Louis Kahn, Makowsky and Richard Rogers. His most famous joint project is the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
He became an honorary citizen of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in March 2008.
