César Pelli (born 1926)

Cesar Pelli, born 1926 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina is an Argentine architect known for building some of the world's tallest skyscrapers and other major urban landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers, Malaysia or Cira Centre, Philadelphia, PA, USA. He also designed the World Financial Center complex in Manhattan, which surround the now-fallen World Trade Center.

Cesar Pelli studied architecture at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. He completed his studies at the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cesar Pelli started his career in the office of architect Eero Saarinen, New Haven. He emigrated to the United States in 1952. He opened his own office in 1977.
