Boisserée, Sulpiz (1783-1854)
Johann Melchior Sulpiz Dominic Boisserée was born in Cologne in August 1783 and he died in Bonn May 1854. He was a German paintings collector and a historian for art and architecture. He was one of the main supporters of the completion of the Cologne Cathedral. In 1816 he discovered the second half of the medieval facades plan of the Cologne Cathedral.
