In the ASK's spring exhibition, the 10 exhibiting artists Marc Baruth, Andrea Freiberg, Elisabeth Jeck, Renate Hahn, Günter Hähner, Thomas Kellner, Kai-Uwe Körner, Petra Oberhäuser, Helmut Riekel and Ingo Schultze-Schnabl go right back to the beginning: nothing is finished and everything is still in process. Sketches and drafts or even just initial approaches and research into the various artistic explorations will be shown. How and where is art created and which media capture the first thoughts and images? What principles do the artists follow and what position do the sketches have in the artistic development process? photography, sculpture, graphics, painting and installation without frame or base... Fresh from the sketchbook, which is normally withheld from the viewer, an interplay of the most diverse beginnings of artistic work emerges. the viewer should not be confronted with the final results of artistic work, but should be directly involved in the development processes, i.e. also in questions, investigations or in the phase of experimentation. The exhibition is characterized by the authors' different artistic positions and plans, and in particular by fruitful dialogues and discourses between the artists.
