Corona Benefit, Art Galerie Siegen, Germany, June 21 – September 5, 2020

Corona virus here, COVID-19 there, the current situation is overshadowed by a topic, a crisis that affects social and cultural life but does not make it impossible. Right now it is important to support the Siegen art scene and to work for the survival of the visual arts in Siegen. Especially in times of crisis like this, art as a medium is an aid to classifying and reflecting on the present, art as a cultural asset is a documentation of the situation before and during COVID-19, art is a constant and enduring product of our society. Art and culture are irreplaceable, can now serve to express your own uncertain emotional state or to spread a positive, hopeful mood. According to the motto "Supporting the artists on site", the Art Gallery enables a benefit exhibition with regional artists represented in the gallery, who use a variety of materials and techniques to give the Siegen art scene a multifaceted face.
