1763: Traité sur la tolérance - Traktat über die Toleranz.

 

Voltaire was a French philosopher and writer. Until now, he is by far one of the most-read and influential authors and mastermind of the Enlightenment. He criticized the model of absolutism and the position of the catholic Church very strongly and thus was a major pioneer of the French Revolution.
