RWE AG is one of Europe’s leading utility companies. RWE Deutschland, based in Essen, is responsible for the German activities of the corporation in the areas of electricity, sales and energy efficiency and manages the German regional branches. The corporation has a separate, independent subsidiary responsible for sales, the distributor network, metering operations and the marketing of technical services. Further subsidiaries are responsible for those activities connected to energy efficiency including electric mobility and gas storage.
