The Studio Treasure Hunt is an exclusive, curated studio experience created by photographer Thomas Kellner. Taking place in his studio in Siegen, Germany, this intimate format offers rare insight into the artist’s archive and creative process beyond conventional exhibitions or studio tours.

At the heart of each Studio Treasure Hunt is a single, randomly selected drawer from the studio archive. Inside are photographic works from different phases of Kellner’s career — well-known images as well as previously unseen material. The selection remains unknown until the moment the drawer is opened, making every encounter unique and unrepeatable.

Designed for art collectors, photography enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and cultural professionals, the Studio Treasure Hunt emphasizes direct dialogue and personal exchange. In a small group of no more than six guests, Thomas Kellner shares the stories behind the images, reflecting on artistic decisions, coincidences, and the evolution of his work.

The Studio Treasure Hunt lasts approximately two hours and is currently free of charge. Original photographic works are available for acquisition directly in the studio. A total of 39 Studio Treasure Hunt events are planned over a three-year period, each offering a distinct and singular experience.
